How a photograph became one of my favorite memories

Imagen
Today I’m is writing about my favorite photograph. It’s an interesting topic to write about since I really love photography and it’s one of my hobbies since I’m really young.   Choosing my favorite photograph? Such a difficult job! I guess I can’t because I have seen so many pictures in my life, so interesting each one of them, so different between them, that I really can’t choose only one. But if I had to choose today one of my favorites, I’ll choose this one.     As you can see, there is a man with a little girl. That’s me and my dad in 1997, when I was one year old. The picture was taken by my mom, while we were, just like another day, at my family’s farm. I can’t really remember, but I guess my mother, my oldest brother (my youngest brother wasn’t born yet) and I went to visit him while he was working, or maybe we all were just having a walk on the farm as a chill time, as we usually did. My mom and dad always wanted to show us the world, the nature and the farm work....

My real trip to the university

I remember back in 2015 when I first arrived to the university. But I didn’t start all this trip to be a university student at the Universidad de Chile. Instead of that, it was at Universidad del Desarrollo. But first, before telling you that story, let’s go back some years. When I was at school, I wasn´t too sure about what to study. I knew I liked biology, so I choose Biology as my base “elective”. I was happy there and had great grades. But also, I liked history, so I started going to both classes, missing sometimes Biology and sometimes History (both of them were taught in the same schedule). I liked biology so much that I even though about studying Medicine, but then I realized I wanted something more “artistic” or something that has more relation with arts. So, I started investigating for myself (my school was a mathematic school and super traditional, so I had never heard careers related to arts, all we herd as possible careers were traditional ones as Medicine or Engineer...

More than just chocolate: a country I would like to visit

Imagen
When it comes to think about Switzerland, maybe one of the first words that comes to your mind is “chocolate”. I know, I can’t blame you but this country is even more amazing than their famous chocolates.   Switzerland is not only one country on the list of countries with better life quality, also it results to be one of the most charming of Europe or even of the world. For sure, it is one place I’d love to visit someday (I hope sooner than later) and, in a few points, I’ll tell you why.   Well, how not to start by naming the fact that they are so many natural wonders around. Its glaciers, mountains, woods, falls, lakes and rivers offer incredible views you cannot avoid to fall in love with if you are a nature lover, as it happens to me. I have always been a fan of visiting natural environments and when it comes to reach the opportunity of stopping by a river or a lake, even better. Getting back to chocolate, I cannot avoid to name Switzerland’s gastronomy. Apart of them (the ...

Getting to know this weird place for the first time

Well, this happened back in 2019, when I was 23. I was living "first day of school" for the third time. Before that, I've never visited this weird place called Juan Gómez Millas.  As I said, this wasn't my first time studying at the university. Before studying Arts here, I've studied Interior Design at another university called Universidad del Desarrollo. As you can imagine if you know both universities, it was kind of a wild change, but that's not what I'm going to talk about today.  In short therms, thats was a crazy day. Actually, it started just as another day back to school, getting to know the place itself and the people who was going to be next to me the next 5 years. But it all got crazier when we finished the regular activities organized by the older students. Those older guys reunited us in this place called "the grass of Arts", where we made a circle by sitting next to each other. We started by saying our names and sharing some things...
